Pat’s hospital

Of course, you all know where Pat is and what his # is, but i looked up the hospital where he is and it does look good.  He is in  room 532…    I called, but he did not answer.  I will try again later.  Probably no new news till Monday anyway.

  1. Room # has changed… something wrong with his bed in the original room. # is now 527.

I called Pat around noon and we talked for over an hour. We talked about most anything but his family problems which is probably good. (Carrie said she talked family problems with him earlier today.) Mostly Pat and I talked about home building, remodeling, texturing, painting, tile types, etc. We did talk about this heart thing. He told me that one of the reasons that the stress test he already took was ihard to read is that the sensors had a hard time getting thru his thicker scar tissue. Because of that they have decided to skip the dye and heart imaging and go straight to the cathiter and heart exploration. He said that they decided that the irregular depth of scar tissue would affect that test also.

And Pat says that he feels there is something wrong… He said that this time, they do not think it was a heart attack because the enzymes did not indicate one, but that they are concerned about the pains and the indications of heart attacks in the past. He told his doctor about the electrical shocks, so they are wiring him up to monitor his brain this weekend when he goes to sleep and when is sleeping. He said that he did have a shock last night while he was wired, not a bad one, but he is hoping it will show up somewhere. They will be wiring him again tonight.

Actually Pat has 2 or 3 doctors looking at him… One says that he does not think there is anything wrong, but the other 1 or 2 say that they think there is, and Pat feels like there is so he is going forward. We will see….

  2. wow that is scary in a way.

although this is so NOT the time to be talking about family problems in my opinion.

I wondered about his scar tissue being a factor in the tests and I am glad that they are looking into other options. I am scared for him, I know that if he thinks there is something wrong, there probably is. It may be stress, it may be something related to his “shocks” …I know it’s from lightning strikes, but if they can figure out what is going on in his brain, it could cause arrythmia and stuff too… I just want them to figure it out and help him feel as good as possible physically.

and I HATE doctors who insist nothing is wrong with you. UGH…I and I am sure that Pat is well aware when your body isn’t right. I know that this has to be scary as all get out for him and the boys too.
