  1. Oh my! I bet it WAS scary!

I do hope they don’t charge the guy though… I imagine it was traumatic for the policeman and if he did do anything careless, he never will again.

    Was there chaos? 🙂

  2. It was pretty controlled – there was the shot, everyone on their treadmills (like me) stopped, looking around – we’re all nervous, trying to figure out if it was what it sounded like and if it was over. All the official people started swarming; the swarm gradually contracted into the area of the men’s dressing room … some reports came trickling out that it was all over, all OK, so we all went back to running in place.

The next time I looked around (when my workout ended, ~10 minutes), there were cops doing the swarming. Kevin – who hadn’t heard the shot fired – came out and was a little surprised to see all the cops in the locker room.

    Such an adventure.

  3. I’d bet the officer was as surprised as everyone else. Probably started sweating over a number of things when he realized what happened.

Good lesson for most folks though: walls don’t stop accidents with a gun.
