  1. And the South Austin Spec Liquor Warehouse just opened!

I know where I’m going tonight!

Note: part of what makes this Specs so awesome is that they are supposed to have a full deli, making sandwiches all day. The one downtown Houston make some great stuff, I’m hoping this one will too.

  2. OK – hadn’t been there (obviously, I guess, since they just opened 🙂 ), but sounds like good stuff.

Did you check your 4101 e-mail? Sent an Amazon gc; let me know what you get.

Hope you have a fun night out

  3. I can’t believe it’s Thursday. All day i thought it was Wednesday. It wasn’t until just now when i was outside talking to Trip and said something about getting the trash out for tomorrow (Thursday) and she told me today was Thurdsay that i knew.

    I can’t believe i missed your birthday.

Your dad and i talked about it last night and earlier today as we discussed what we were going to do about visiting and gifting you and it never occurred to me that today was the day.

I talked to Ramona on the phone; she told me she had posted birthday greetings and it didn’t dawn on me that today was the day.

Does it help that i am unusually busy?
    hm.. didn’t think so.

well…. when i started writing this it was still barely Thursday. It isn’t now, of course, but when i started i was on time! -barely -not on time enough for it to be early enough to call…

Happy birthday Chris….. I hope Specs was all you hoped it would be.
    hugs.

  4. The Specs here is amazing. They took a large store, made everything nice and open with the deli and such along the outside walls. They will be opening the deli on Saturday. We’ll be back for it.

I also had to step into the walk in humidor. It is new enough that you don’t really smell the cigars, just the great woodwork they have in there. Wood flooring, oak walls, and mahogany ceiling. (wood helps keep the humidity in the ‘good’ range). Anyway, smelling all that wood was awesome. (and we might buy a few cigars to send to a friend who is off in the Iraq area)

Thank you everyone for the gifts!
