The strangest thing…. a flower has sprung up in the grass in the back yard. It is not near where anything is planted and we have no idea how it came to be there… but it is very pretty. I took a picture…. It is overcast so the picture does not do the colors justice, but it gives a good idea. I stuck my foot out at the base to give you an idea of the size.
I uploaded a very large picture… i wanted you to be able to see the bloom.
While I should really be working, I wanted to take a moment and say that flower looks really awesome.
I don’t get flowers like that here… /grumble grumble

No i don’t know the name. I have looked a little but not done an exhaustive search. I suppose i should find out. It is beautiful and apparently likes the conditions found in my yard.
