where was he?
Bill’s Mountain, which is the major climb on the Assault on Marion ride.
Last weekend was the Assault on Mt. Mitchell (Marion in on the way to Mitchell). Kevin was feeling very strong and had trained hard, but the heat in North Carolina last weekend (all week, actually) was unbelievable. Nearing the 100s.
So he stopped at Marion.
Nice picture… Nice that you could post it as a post card (I copied it, by the way). A shame that he did not make it up the mountain this year, but it is good that he knows his limits and there is next year.
